SIGINT SME with Security Clearance
Primary Responsibilities
The Air Force SIGINT SME will serve as the Service Cryptologic Component functional authority for ISR issues and be responsible to the Directorate of Operations for executing operations related to the support of SIGINT mission management, SIGINT policy and applicable national and tactical authorities. Develop plans and exercises, and the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Air Force enterprise. Candidates will work with 16 AF and subordinate ISR Wings to maintain the health of operations and assigned SIGINT authorities, including a robust quality control and compliance program. The SME will make recommendations and defend decisions on operational policy matters to the Director and 16 AF staff. In addition, this candidate will represent 16 AF across a variety of functional area organizations to establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with ACC directorates, USAF Special Program Offices, Headquarters of the Air Force, the Secretary of Defense, Services, combat support agencies, other combatant commands, the Intelligence Community, interagency, academia, and industry.
Required Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or an additional 5 years of related expert experience, for a total of 20 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree.
Desired Qualifications
- Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer requests for information (RFI) and specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities.
- Fundamental understanding of SIGINT reporting policies.
- Fundamental understanding of software applications and databases associated with SIGINT report writing and target development.
- Experience with military collection management.
