About the role

Responsible for providing specialized support to students with special needs within the Sierra Vista Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Support students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention strategies.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in regular meetings and data collection to monitor student progress.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of 48 units of college coursework, AA degree, or higher.
• Passage of Instructional Aide Testing (ESSA).

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Proficient in using technology for instructional purposes.

Pay

$25.55 - $31.10 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time position, 9.5 months per year, 5 days per week, 3.75 hours per day. Shift hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 10:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday - 9:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
