Siding, soffit, Fascia crew member
About the Role
The Siding, Soffit, Fascia Crew Member is responsible for the quality installation of siding and window products for modular construction projects. Working independently or as part of a team, this role ensures accurate material selection, proper installation techniques, safety compliance, and a clean, organized work environment to support production goals.
Responsibilities
- Review purchase orders to identify required siding colors, brands, and quantities for each project for windows, doors, soffit, and fascia
- Locate and verify correct materials prior to installation
- Demonstrate proper installation techniques for various siding products, including vinyl and LP SmartSide
- Install siding and windows in accordance with specifications and quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and report concerns or discrepancies as needed
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with all team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, floor plans, and work orders
- Ability to identify and properly use core tools, including tape measure, hammer, drill, level, and saw
- Ability to identify and use exterior finish tools, including jig saw, table saw, and caulking gun
- Ability to use manual and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
- Ability to perform overhead physical work for extended periods
- Ability to use basic mathematics and measuring devices to calculate length, width, height, and depth
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds consistently and comfortably
- Valid driver’s license
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed primarily in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels
- Required use of safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 80 pounds
- Requires strong manual dexterity, coordination, stamina, and physical endurance
- Ability to move arms and legs quickly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Evening work may be required based on production needs. Occasional out-of-area travel may occur.
Pay
Starting wage: $19.55 per hour.
