Position: SI Lab Technician Location: Santa Clara, CA Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Lab Technician to join our team. The position will be located in Santa Clara, CA. Responsibilities The SI Lab Technician will assist and perform necessary measurements of a device under test to ensure products operate within specification. Work in the Signal Integrity Laboratory for the Signal Integrity Application Manager to ensure Electrical specifications of manufactured passive DUTs are metAssist with frequency (S-Parameter), and time domain (TDR, BERT) measurements for new product and Sustaining Engineering and OperationsAssist with obtaining Electrical Measurements with a Oscilloscope, Vector Network Analyzer, and Digital MicroscopeAssist with debugging customer systems or cable assemblies both in the lab and on the fieldAssist with performing repeatable measurements for experiments and characterizationsAssist with performing repeatable cycle or stress measurements using mechanical fixtures or obtain mechanical parametersAccurately record, store, and process data in Excel to create graphs and reports with PowerPointKeep track of all work and experiments performedInteract as needed with Sales, Manufacturing and Engineering teamsDisplay caution around highly sensitive equipment and performs work with consistency and precision Qualifications Minimum postsecondary education requirement of 1 to 2 years in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.Strong geometric, numerical, and statistical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, PCB layouts and schematics, and block diagramsProficient in- Microsoft Products- Excel, Word, PowerPointStrong accuracy and organizational skillsMust be self-motivated Physical Requirements Repeatable Process: Connecting and disconnecting threaded cable connectors by hand requiring the use of precision torque and or static wrenches Largely Sedentary role: This position will use benchtop instruments and computers The hourly rate for this position ranges between $25.00/hr to $38.00 annually. In determining rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role.
