SI Lab Assistant
Molex is seeking an Assistant Lab Technician or Lab Technician (depending on skill level) to join our Signal Integrity Team. Training on the use of a network analyzer, signal integrity tools, and time domain reflectometry will be provided. We are looking for someone with an eagerness to learn. This is a development opportunity to learn skills needed to test electronic connector samples for Signal Integrity.
What You Will Do
- Perform soldering or de-soldering operations, including microscopic-scale work, to assemble or remove resistors, capacitors, and wires on boards and connectors for electrical testing.
- Perform Signal Integrity measurements on high-speed connectors using network analyzers.
- Perform time domain reflectometry measurements and oscilloscope measurements.
- Perform BER, SNR, and Eye measurements on high-speed data signals.
- Create reports from measurement data using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and in-house software.
- Highlight areas of failure in prototypes and provide possible reasons for malfunctions.
- Organize the lab and maintain an archive of reports in an online library.
- Support Molex quality programs by following approved policies and procedures.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in using hand tools, electrical equipment, or similar job functions with hands-on lab experience.
- Intermediate-level computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Associate degree in a technical field.
- Education or experience focused on electrical or mechanical technology.
Pay
For this role, we anticipate paying $28-$30 per hour.
