Shuttle Driver - CDL

About the role

Uses company transportation assets to move guests and cargo in a safe, friendly and timely manner. Drivers conduct and coordinate basic maintenance on company vehicles and maintain records in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre and post operation maintenance on assigned vehicle daily.
• Annotate issues correctly.
• Operate shuttles along assigned routes, reporting changes or challenges to the coordinator.
• Cookout and communicate with guest service, group coordination and marine staffs to ensure that guests receive the best possible service and important information is shared throughout the company.

Requirements

• Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsement.
• Must be 25+ years of age at time of employment start.
• Knowledge of Alaska and Seward history, geography, and standard attractions.
• Familiarity with the Alaska Collection products.
• Excellent guest/customer service skills including speaking with guests, assisting them in solving their problems, and dealing with angry or disappointed guests in a positive way.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• The employee must be able to work in harsh weather conditions for long hours on a variable schedule.
• 2 year’s experience.
