CDL Driver
Primary Responsibilities
- Obedeying and following applicable traffic laws
- Safe operation of tractor trailers and other equipment as assigned
- Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
- Reporting defects, accidents, and violations
- Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Loading and unloading cargo as required per job
- Interacting with customers in a professional manner
- Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports
- Verifying loads for accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations
- A clean driving record, with at least 2-3 years’ proven driving history
- Physical fitness
- Hand-eye coordination
- Visual and hearing acuity
About the Role
Spectrum Environmental, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified CDL – Class A truck operator to join our team in the Alabaster and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years’ experience operating vacuum tankers, bulk tankers, roll-off trailers, and some experience transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required.
Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Potential candidates must also be willing to work on out-of-town projects and be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.
