Shuttle Ambassador ( No Driving )

Position Summary

The Arrow Ambassador is responsible for providing on-board support and guidance to guests accessing essential services and community resources through the Arrow transportation service. This role serves as an ambassador on the transport vehicle. Assisting guests during transit, answering questions, and helping ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Transportation Services. Serve as an onboard ambassador on the Arrow vehicle, helping and guiding guests during transit.
• Follow an established route and schedule, ensuring timely pickups and dropoffs.
• Aid guests with disabilities or mobility challenges as needed.
• Guest Engagement & Support: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide guidance on available services. Ensure a calm and respectful environment during transport, intervening in conflicts when necessary. Maintain open communication with staff regarding guest concerns or special needs.
• Safety & Compliance: Conduct pretrip and posttrip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues. Follow all emergency procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or medical emergencies.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of trips, and guest transport logs. Communicate with Shift Supervisors regarding route adjustments, guest issues, or program improvements. Assist in other transportation-related duties as needed.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Support general operations of the Courtyard as directed by Shift Supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in passenger transport, social services, or homeless services preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing homelessness.
• Knowledge of local resources and service providers is a plus.
