Responsibilities

  • Perform standard service, maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on Storm Smart shutters, impact windows, and doors.
  • Complete assigned service calls, punchout work, and warranty tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Diagnose common service issues and implement approved repair solutions.
  • Mentor and guide Shutter Service Technician Helpers and Trainees, providing hands-on instruction, reinforcing safety practices, and supporting skill development.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service to explain work performed and basic product functionality, consistently representing Storm Smart’s brand, values, and service standards on every job.
  • Follow all OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and jobsite procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, work orders, and reports.
  • Properly use, maintain, and secure company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Support quality checks and jobsite inspections as assigned.
  • Escalate complex technical or customer issues to Service Technician II or Field Supervisor.
  • Continue hands-on training to expand product knowledge and technical skills.
  • Support team operations and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is skilled in hands-on repair work, familiar with various tools and machinery, and has experience working with hurricane protection systems. They should also be able to communicate effectively with customers and support the growth of junior team members.
