About the role

The principal at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic School serves as the spiritual and instructional leader of the school, guiding the educational program and fostering opportunities for students to grow in their Catholic faith.

Responsibilities

• Administer the educational program of a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Denver
• Foster opportunities for students to grow in their Catholic faith
• Support students and staff in their formation
• Oversee the school’s educational program; supervise teaching, administrative, and support personnel
• Implement curriculum standards and guidelines
• Direct all programs and services offered by the school
• Operate within the policies and procedures of the local school, the Archdiocese of Denver, and the Office of Catholic Schools
• Collaborate with students, parents, parish and school communities, the Parish Finance Council, the School Advisory Council, and the broader public

Requirements

• Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church
• Refrain from the public promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or scandal on the Archdiocese of Denver or contradict Catholic doctrine or morals
• Possess graduate level academic credentials and/or professional background in education, leadership, or related field
• Have previous teaching experience; previous administrative experience is preferred
• Commit to the Archdiocese of Denver's vision and philosophy for Catholic education
• Commit to a Catholic educational program rooted in the liberal arts, the foundations of Western civilization, an understanding of history that highlights the essential contributions of Christianity to the development of Western culture, and literature that enables students to grapple with the big questions of life in pursuit of what is true, good, and beautiful
• Adhere to the minimum requirements for Catechist certification as set forth by the Archdiocese of Denver
