Shredder

About the role

We’re looking for an observant Shredder to join our Shipping and Receiving team for a Quad Shift within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway. This full-time permanent position is based in Ypsilanti, MI.

Responsibilities

• Operate shredding and bailing equipment
• Communicate container switchouts without delays
• Maintain equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of shredding room
• Maintain the dust collection drums inside & outside so they are cleaned out regularly
• Maintain Shredder logs daily
• Maintain security of tickets and area
• Maintain cleanliness of compacting area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work
• Warehouse experience

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Material handling skills and experience
• Self-motivated individual capable of performing routine tasks with minimal supervision
• Physical capabilities including lifting & loading products weighing approximately 50 pounds
