Visa Information
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
About the Role
The Adjunct Instructor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and course coordination within the entry-level DPT curriculum, with a primary focus on Clinical Applied Physiology. This position supports student learning across multiple TTUHSC campuses through the development, organization, and delivery of course content utilizing TTUHSC educational technologies. The Adjunct Instructor collaborates with program faculty to ensure effective course administration, assessment, and student achievement while maintaining excellence in teaching and professional practice.
The ideal candidate is an experienced physical therapist and educator with a passion for teaching and mentoring future clinicians in a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. This individual possesses strong expertise in clinical applied physiology and can effectively translate complex physiological concepts into engaging, clinically relevant instruction.
Responsibilities
- Provide lecture instruction and/or course coordination within entry-level DPT courses, specifically including Clinical Applied Physiology.
- Coordinate assigned DPT courses, ensuring consistent delivery of course content and learning experiences across TTUHSC campuses.
- Develop, organize, and maintain course materials, learning activities, and educational resources within the TechLink learning management system.
- Provide instruction during scheduled class sessions, including anticipated teaching responsibilities on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the TTUHSC fall semester.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to support course operations and student success.
- Support the mission, values, and educational goals of the TTUHSC School of Health Professions and the DPT Program.
Requirements
- Licensed physical therapist.
- At least 10 years of clinical experience.
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or educating health professions students.
- Continuing education or background in exercise physiology.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
Schedule
Part-time. Pay basis: Monthly.
