Showroom Usher - On Call

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude with guests and team members.
• Identify guests’ challenges, diffuse situations, and provide service recovery.
• Actively listen to guest inquiries and respond using a positive, clear speaking voice.
• Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, hotel services, restaurants, meeting and convention rooms, airline shuttle service, etc.
• Check guest tickets for seating numbers and direct or escort the guests to their seats.
• Use linens, table toppers, and table numbers to set up showroom seating.
• Stand at podium in re-entry area during events to ensure visibility to guests.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Analyzing, instructing, following instructions, memorization, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Demands

• Constantly standing, walking, and occasionally reaching overhead or bending over during the shift.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
• Repetitive use of both feet and hands; occasional light grasping motions.
• Frequent finger dexterity required for both hands.
• Frequent use of vision abilities including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

Work Environment

• Work performed consistently indoors with and around others.
• Face-to-face interactions including verbal contact on extended shifts around computer equipment and other electrical devices.
