About the role
Join the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States as a Showroom Design Consultant with Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This role facilitates and supports customers and design teams by leveraging strong knowledge of flooring industry practices to drive and influence sales decisions. You will manage and maintain the day-to-day activities of the showroom, providing expert product selection advice and administrative assistance grounded in interior design and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide interior design advice and product expertise; facilitate product selection, project development, and support to ensure completion of selections for all customers.
- Maintain recordkeeping for showroom client visits, including customer contact and preference information.
- Manage showroom samples and merchandising, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining samples and displays.
- Plan and host showroom tours and events for industry trade to drive customer sales.
- Maintain and track all showroom events, meetings, industry events, and customer visits.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams.
- Maintain showroom and sample inventory by coordinating sample orders, managing the sample resources library, and removing discontinued products.
- Ensure product displays align with current product selections and company design standards.
- Collaborate on product layouts by providing samples for meetings.
- Coordinate meetings and special events in the showroom, including scheduling catering, entertainment, and other logistics.
- Assist with social media for the showroom as part of the brand strategy while adhering to corporate social media guidelines.
- Maintain the showroom by performing tasks such as restocking and cleaning.
- Attend outside trade events to develop industry relationships and build brand awareness.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
