Farrow and Ball - Showroom Assistant (part-time) - Brooklyn, New York We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join the Brookly Studio team as a Showroom Assistant. We are offering this position on a part-time permanent basis working 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial mindset together with a genuine passion for colour, interiors, and design, using their expertise to inspire clients, build lasting relationships, and drive sales in a luxury, design-led environment. What We Expect From You As a Showroom Assistant Support the showroom team in achieving sales targets and driving showroom growth.Proactively identify, develop, and convert new sales opportunities.Lead sales and non-sales activities to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), following the direction of the Showroom Manager.Proactively promote and sell the Colour Consultancy service and provide accurate advice on colour and suitability.Cultivate strong relationships with the Architecture & Design (A&D) community both existing and potential.Promote Farrow & Ball and inspire clients through sharing brand stories and technical information.Maintain the Farrow & Ball image to the highest standards and ensuring the showroom, stockroom and all displays are neat and tidy at all times.Resolve difficult client issues and escalate to your Showroom Manager when necessary.Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures and consistently follow and enforce company guidelines to Showroom operations.Open and close the showroom, including securing the facility, arming and disarming the security system, and completing all required point-of-sale (POS) opening and closing procedures.Utilize technology platforms, including a point-of-sale (POS) system, Microsoft Office applications, and iPads, to complete transactions and support the day-to-day operations of the showroom.Perform the physical demands of the role, including maintaining the showroom, unloading and unpacking inventory, stocking merchandise, and safely lifting and moving paint cans and other products as part of daily showroom operations. Key Attributes Highly effective communicator with both internal and external clients.Exceptional selling and closing skills, having the desire to follow up to close sales.Experience in luxury retail is highly desirable.Strong business acumen, a proactive approach to customer outreach, and a genuine passion for colour, paint, and interior design.Ability to work in a high paced environment.Strong visual standards background and inventory management are desirable.Knowledge of paint, wallpaper, and related products is preferred.Proficient in operating and troubleshooting a variety of business technologies, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, Microsoft Office applications, and iPads.Must be available to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule to support showroom operations and ensure appropriate staffing coverage during all business hours.Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role What You Can Expect From Us A competitive hourly pay, reviewed annually based on individual performanceGenerous staff discount on F&B productsEmployee Assistance Programme with 24/7 support At Farrow & Ball we are committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our people, with an aim to be truly representative of all sections of society and our customers.
