Shower Door Installer / Glazier

About the role

Palmetto Glass, Inc. is looking for a dependable Shower Door Installer / Glazier to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated company that has been serving the Florence area for 59 years. This is a hands-on position installing custom shower enclosures, mirrors and other glass products. You will work in residential homes and commercial locations, so attention to detail, professionalism and pride in your work are extremely important.

Responsibilities

• Install frameless and framed shower enclosures
• Install mirrors and other glass products
• Measure and prepare openings for installation
• Safely handle, transport and install glass
• Use hand and power tools
• Work as part of a team while also being able to work independently
• Maintain a clean, professional work area
• Provide customers with the quality workmanship and service our company is known for

Requirements

• Previous glass, shower door, carpentry, remodeling or construction experience is a plus
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Good mechanical ability and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with your hands and being on your feet
• Ability to safely handle heavy and fragile materials
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors as required
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Don’t have glass experience? That’s okay. If you have construction experience, mechanical ability, a good work ethic and are willing to learn, we are willing to train the right person.
