Shower Aide (CNA)

Rainbow Health Care Community seeks compassionate and thoughtful individuals to join our team. We partner with skilled nursing centers to support a small team environment of caring professionals.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, bathing (shower schedule and documentation), hair, and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Aids resident with range of motion exercises
• Moves residents to wheelchair or activity areas
• Aids residents with ambulation for short distances within the center
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Provides direct and indirect resident care services
• Maintains communication with residents and their families, and facility staff
• Notifies nursing team of changes in residents' clinical conditions
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Required valid certification as a CNA in the state of Oklahoma
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Effective communication skills with residents and their family members, and facility staff
