Should-Cost Analyst

About the role

The 'Should'-Cost Analyst will provide manufacturing technical support to purchased materials and finished parts to assist in meeting cost goals, delivery requirements and contractual requirements for both military and commercial programs, domestic and foreign.

Responsibilities

• Generate and provide estimates of manufacturing costs.
• Direct technical support and engineering liaison, where supplementation of Buyer/Contract Administrator skills will affect improvements in quality, price, and delivery.
• Use discretion and independent judgment in such areas as hardware manufacturability/producibility by reviewing sign off of hardware drawings as well as such other areas as parts manufacturing operations, and estimated cost for raw material and labor.
• Ensure products are not only producible but also delivered on time at reasonable cost.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, machining, or cost estimation.
• Familiarity in the use of close tolerance gages as well as exposure to the welding, machining and fabrication of aerospace hardware.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and manufacturing processes.
• An analytical mindset.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.

Role

This function relates directly to the management and general business operations of the client by ensuring products are not only producible but also delivered on time at reasonable cost.

Work Schedule

The role is hybrid – 3 days per week in office.
