Duties/Responsibilities
The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses. Some service and research activity may be expected. The Division Of Social Sciences May Need Lecturers/Assistant Professors Or Teaching Specialists To Teach On a Short-term And/or Temporary Basis During The 2026-27 Academic Year (August 17, 2026 To May 16, 2027) In One Or More Of The Following Areas:
- Anthropology
- Economics
- History
- Management
- Political Science
- Sociology
- Psychology
Qualifications Required/Preferred
- Ph.D. or terminal degree for Lecturer/Assistant Professor; MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists, masters preferred.
- Candidate must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field.
- Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment or other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.
Pay And Benefits
Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000 annual full-time equivalent ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
