About the Role

Under direct supervision, serves as a primary support and case manager for individuals with mental illness by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community. In addition, this position provides knowledge of a specialty area to the treatment team and program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary support and case management for individuals with mental illness.
  • Assist clients in living independently within their community.
  • Contribute specialized knowledge to the treatment team and program.
  • Use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.

Requirements

  • High School Graduation or G.E.D. equivalent and three (3) years of direct services in mental health or community services; OR
  • Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the area of specialty served (e.g., Benefits, Educational, Employment, etc.).
  • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use the company vehicle to transport clients.

Pay

Expected starting wage range is $28.27 - $34.54. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Schedule

Short-Hour | NOC | Shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Days: Friday & Saturday

Shift differentials for hourly staff: 10% for Overnight Shift, 15% for Weekend Overnight Shift.

About the Team

Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. The San Mateo Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) will bring crisis services to people in the community delivered by a dedicated team of mental health professionals with law enforcement involvement only where necessary. This is an exciting opportunity to expand much-needed crisis care in San Mateo County in a way that is safe, accessible, and compassionate.
