The Clinician

The Clinician provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program. They assist in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team, including coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies such as the Conservator’s Office, Public Guardian’s Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.

As part of the San Diego Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT), the Clinician provides onsite crisis response and collaborates as needed with other emergency response teams. They may also provide telephone screening, triage, and referral services, ensuring every consumer caller receives timely response, accurate assessments, appropriate interventions, and professional attention.

Shifts Available

  • Short-Hour
  • Swing
  • Shifts: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Days: Friday – Saturday

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Two (2) years post-masters experience providing crisis response with mentally ill individuals
  • Current licensure or registration as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, etc.
  • Certified to perform W & I 5150 Holds in the field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification.
  • If the position requires driving, valid driver’s license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
