Shopper Marketing & Program Manager
About the role
We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Shopper Marketing & Program Manager to lead how our brand shows up at retail from annual planning and retailer sell-in to launch execution and activation. This role serves as the primary liaison between Sales, Marketing, Operations, and external partners to ensure retail programs are executed flawlessly while driving sales velocity, shopper engagement, and brand growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual retail marketing plans across retail accounts.
- Own the in-store and digital shelf experience, including messaging, merchandising, displays, POS, and retailer-specific creative.
- Partner on annual retail resets by developing retailer-specific activation strategies, communication themes, and sell-in materials.
- Lead retailer-specific marketing programs, including promotions, retail media, search, CRM, coupons, sampling, and display initiatives.
- Own sell-in storytelling by developing compelling retailer-specific marketing concepts and activation plans that support Sales presentations.
- Define and manage retail messaging and creative in partnership with Brand and Design while ensuring consistency across channels.
- Collaborate with Brand and Design on retail packaging updates and retailer-specific requirements.
- Manage retail media and agency partners, ensuring programs are delivered on time, on budget, and optimized for performance.
- Lead cross-functional execution of retail launches and activations, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Demand Planning, brokers, and external partners to ensure launch readiness and flawless execution.
- Own retail marketing calendars, launch timelines, project trackers, and key milestones to ensure initiatives stay on schedule.
- Drive accountability across cross-functional teams by managing action items, risks, and project communication.
- Track and analyze retail marketing performance using POS, retailer, and market data to identify optimization opportunities and measure ROI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in retail marketing, shopper marketing, or trade marketing within CPG.
- Experience supporting national or regional retail launches, line reviews, and retailer activation programs.
- A strong understanding of shopper marketing, retail media, merchandising, and digital shelf optimization.
- A data-driven mindset with experience leveraging POS and retailer data to evaluate performance and optimize marketing programs.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience managing agencies, external partners, and complex project timelines.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Pay
SALARY RANGE National Target Base Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $166,000.00. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $110,000 - $184,000, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
