Shop Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders
  • Track machine service intervals
  • Order parts
  • Diagnose issues using real-time data
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various equipment types
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and on customer sites
  • Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment
  • Aid in the training of lower-level technicians
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or trade school certificate
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Experience working on power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and reading/sketching schematics
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
