Primary Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders.
- Track machine service intervals.
- Order parts.
- Diagnose issues using data from hundreds of makes and models.
- Determine root cause and corrective action for equipment issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations.
- Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment.
- Aid in the training of lower-level technicians.
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
Qualifications
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and reading schematics.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- EPA 608 certification (preferred).
