Shop Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

We’re hiring a Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our Advanced Solutions onsite facility in Hubbard, TX. Join us to grow your career while maintaining and repairing customer and company-owned Pump, Power & HVAC equipment, including the newest models in the industry.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Overtime pay after 40 hours
  • Subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation

Responsibilities

  • Use technology (laptops/tablets) to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues using data from hundreds of makes and models
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations, handling repairs as needed
  • Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians
  • Maintain accurate paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred)
  • Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to the position
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading schematics
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
  • EPA 608 certification preferred; ability to obtain within 6–12 months if not already certified
  • High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
  • Experience in equipment service, maintenance, and repair preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

This is a safety-sensitive position. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.
