Shop Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

We’re hiring a Shop Technician (Mechanic) at our Advanced Solutions onsite facility in Hubbard, TX. Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Overtime pay after 40 hours
- Subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation
Responsibilities
- Use technology (laptops/tablets) to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues using data from hundreds of makes and models
- Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations, handling repairs as needed
- Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
- Assist in training lower-level technicians
- Maintain accurate paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Must own tools applicable to the position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading schematics
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- EPA 608 certification preferred; ability to obtain within 6–12 months if not already certified
- High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in equipment service, maintenance, and repair preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
This is a safety-sensitive position. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.
