Shop Technician I - QC
About the role
As a Shop Tech I on our Quality Inspection team, you will perform inspections, examinations, and tests according to documented procedures and industry practices. You will be an Individual Contributor who conducts routine analyses and tests of different components of a quality control program in the production lines and tests of in-process materials and finished products to ensure conformity to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the inspections, examinations, and tests according to documented procedures and industry practices.
- Report inspection, examination, and test results.
- Evaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and test results.
- Determine if the calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment is current.
- Determine that the measuring and test equipment (M&TE) is in proper condition before use.
- Ensure that the inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved before use.
- Follow up quickly and consistently to bring issues to closure, set challenging goals and achieve measurable results.
- Resolve problems and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent
- 1+ years relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills
- Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus required mathematics
- United States Department of Labor Journeyman Certification Qualification and certification for Inspection to ANSI N45.2.6 Certification to Visual VT-1 Mechanical
- Experience with Inspection of electrical parts IPC-610 and IPC-620 certifications and experience
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $49,534.00 to $63,440.00 per year.
