About the role

Perform timely, high-quality repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance of machine components, identifying mechanical issues and ensuring equipment is restored to safe, reliable operating condition.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric
• Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
• Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Heavy Equipment Technology preferred
• Minimum 2 years of related mechanical experience and/or training; equivalent education and experience considered
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel or heavy equipment systems preferred
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Pay

Base pay $27.48 per hour. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
