About the role
Performs physical tasks in the shop or warehouse in support of operations at our Williston, ND location. Responsibilities
- Performs shipping and receiving duties: loads and unloads trucks, uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting.
- Follows shipping practices, procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
- Unpacks, inspects, and logs incoming materials to verify compliance with purchase orders and quality requirements; verifies quantity, weight, and conformance.
- Packs and prepares materials for shipment; processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading.
- Expedites, routes, and dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments.
- Reviews master production schedule to identify shortages and alerts authorities of potential problems.
- Generates progress reports on schedule status and keeps records of completed orders.
- Expedites materials by arranging repairs or in-house transportation as needed.
- Reports on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications.
- Inspects, rebuilds, operates, tests, and troubleshoots equipment.
- Paints equipment and monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Operates equipment and materials following OEM guidelines and standard operating procedures; completes records and associated documentation.
- Performs general housekeeping duties and ground maintenance, including preparation of shop and company vehicles.
- May operate heavy machinery if properly certified.
- All duties are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines and processing standards.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate and interpret a variety of oral and written instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
Qualifications
- Minimum:
- Less than high school education.
- 0–2 years of work experience.
- Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience as a shop technician in the oil and gas industry.
Physical Requirements
- Precise hand/eye coordination: Constantly.
- Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions: Frequently.
- Operation of heavy equipment or vehicles: Occasionally.
- Lifting/pushing objects weighing over 50 lbs: Frequently.
- Climbing and working in awkward and cramped positions: Occasionally.
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces.
- Exposure to inclement weather, bright lights, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
