Shop Technician, AgRev - Harrisburg

About the role

AGCO’s AgRevolution™ dealership is seeking a Shop Technician in the Harrisburg, IL area to repair agricultural machinery and equipment, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include testing, diagnosing, evaluating, troubleshooting, parts ordering, technical report writing, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and communicating effectively with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute repair plans, including determining necessary parts, materials, and tooling.
• Perform repairs safely and efficiently, with quality assurance testing of components and systems.
• Generate, maintain, and complete reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure.
• Use test equipment, blueprints, technical data, and service manuals to troubleshoot repairs.
• Retrieve and return parts/materials and special tools using the company’s ordering systems.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment (e.g., air compressor, cleaning tanks, overhead/jib cranes).
• Interact professionally with co-workers, customers, vendors, and visitors.
• Use company computer systems to manage work processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar position, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing agriculture, construction, off-road, or heavy equipment.
• Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze and repair problems.
• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and word processing programs.

Pay

$20.00–$38.00/hour, based on experience.
