Shop Technician 1

About the role

Routinely diagnose, adjust, repair, and maintain most equipment at a high-level quality in shop or fields to conform to efficiency standards in a timely manner. Operate farm/dairy equipment and may do fabrication or welding repair.

Responsibilities

• Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other team members and management.
• Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Threemile Canyon Farms.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
• Perform functions of Shop Tech I.
• Able to perform general welding repairs and fabrication.
• General diagnosis and begin learning advanced diagnosis, testing and repair for most equipment, in the shop or in the field and report all findings and issues to appropriate parties.
• Maintain good working records for time, parts, and supplies.
• Knowledge of farm machines and equipment, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, Mechanical Certification or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Work safely while using tools and general farm equipment with consideration and concern for others.
