Shop Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Monitor and drive the continuous flow of communication, paperwork and information between the shop and the Fleet Manager.
• Works closely with Fleet Manager and Mechanics to ensure proper documentation, reporting, and tracking of all job orders and inventory.
• Perform preventative maintenance and other repair and maintenance of trucks and tankers as needed.
• Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work of Mechanics at assigned location.
• Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Assisting with the hiring process including interviewing and training.
• Appraising performance and issuing Performance Improvement Plans.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
