About the role
Shop Service Technician - Outside Repairs is responsible for providing service and repairs to Caterpillar equipment located at customer sites.
Essential Functions
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on Caterpillar equipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Document work performed and communicate status updates to supervisors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- At least 2 years of related experience in heavy equipment maintenance or repair.
