Shop Service Technician III - CAT RENTALS - (2nd Shift)

About the role
As a technician, you will conduct all assigned work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies. You will diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer specifications, perform repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous learning, and collaboration within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Wear proper personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain a minimum set of tools required for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer specifications.
- Attend and complete required technician training classes.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, identifying opportunities to improve work methods and safety standards.
- Research repair needs and order parts as required.
- Complete documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
- Approach work positively and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
- Assist with facility maintenance, including housekeeping and contamination control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Completion of all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech III.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Proficiency in using computers, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs (highly desired).
- Willingness to update knowledge through re-training as job requirements evolve (at least once per year).
