Shop Service Technician – Equipment Setup & Inspection

• Focus on equipment setup, inspection, and quality

• Work on a wide range of equipment: excavators, dozers, loaders, paving equipment, and attachments
• Hands-on assembly, configuration, and functional testing
• Exposure to different machines and systems

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment
• Assemble, install, and adjust components, attachments, and accessories
• Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Identify and correct setup issues or deficiencies
• Verify fluids, configurations, and system readiness
• Operate equipment to perform functional checks
• Complete inspection reports and documentation
• Prepare equipment to meet Milton CAT quality standards
• Support rental fleet preparation as needed

Requirements

• 1–3 years of heavy equipment or mechanical experience (or technical degree)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow specifications and complete inspections accurately
• Basic computer skills (inspection/reporting systems)
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Your own tools
• A quality-focused, safety-first mindset

Pay

$28.50–$37.89/hour (based on experience)
