Shop Service Assembler (Part Time) - Pekin, IL

Organizational Relationships

Service Shop Assembler reports directly to the Service Shop Manager. Service Shop Assembler will have no direct supervisory authority.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specification manuals or assembly blueprints to assemble product accordingly.
• Perform quality control checks that entail inspecting, operating, and testing completed products.
• Align or position components needed for assembly, either by manual placement or by using hoists.
• Must be able to perform in a productive and positive manner with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Loading and unloading equipment, and machine assembly.
• Must represent Runnings in a professional and positive manner.
• May assist with routine small engine maintenance and repairs.
• Perform on-site evaluations and equipment demos.
• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain proper certifications that may be required.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, delivery truck, etc.

• May need to work an irregular work schedule.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to comprehend new processes, multi-task, and properly plan and prioritize tasks.
• Positive and professional interactions with co-workers, self-motivation, and strong work ethic.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay and Schedule

Pay Range: $15.00-$17.00 Depending on experience.

Skills

Some personal or professional building experience preferred. Experience working with this type of machinery is preferred.
