About the role
As a Shop Mechanic, you will work on all makes and models of agriculture equipment in the shop, ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely to support our customers and maximize their uptime. You will analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures, then repair, replace, or rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components (including pump motors and valves), electrical systems, and air systems. Additionally, you will assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on all makes and models of John Deere equipment and allied products.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and diagnose agriculture equipment malfunctions or failures.
- Repair, replace, or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, and related components.
- Service hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and all related parts.
- Repair and maintain electrical and air systems.
- Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation of John Deere equipment and allied products.
- Work alongside trained mechanics in a well-resourced shop environment.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of working knowledge of small engines and agricultural equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and air conditioning systems.
- Team-oriented personality with the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-motivation and assertiveness.
- Must provide own tools.
Pay
$26.98–40.47 per hour, depending on experience.
