Shop Maint I Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Tire Maintenance: Tire mounting and dismounting, brake jobs, bearing and stud replacement.
• Trailer Maintenance: Brake jobs, ABS, door repairs, and minor body repairs.
• Tractor Maintenance: Brake services, engine work, diagnostics, and minor repairs.
• Brake Service and Repair.
• Rear End Service and Repair.
• Engine Repair: Engines, diagnostic tests, part removal and replacement, water-cooling system checks, and filter cleaning.

Requirements

• Certified in brake repair.
• 2 years Diesel Mechanic experience.
• Current CDL License (optional but beneficial).

Job requires a thorough knowledge of machines and tools for making repairs and regular maintenance on equipment. Ability to troubleshoot. Reading comprehension of work-related documents. Strong service perspective in relation to meeting customer expectations. Effectively applies technical knowledge to solve a range of problems. Excellent time management, situational management, attention to detail, and immediate follow through. Must provide own tools including impact wrenches up to 1/2' drive. Carrier and Thermo King Reefer experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds numerous times and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
