Shop Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC burning machines (plasma, oxyfuel torches), presses, saws, rolls, and other steel fabrication equipment in accordance with safety standards and established procedures.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other machinery to load and unload burning machines.
• Read drawings and specifications for dimensions, tolerances, specifications, and other information.
• Use measuring tools like tape measures and angle gauges to verify compliance of cut products.
• Complete preventative and routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines.
• Communicate with coworkers and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Qualifications

• No CNC experience required. Candidate will be trained to the machinery.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong Practical Math Skills
• PREFERRED: Experience in skilled trades or working with machinery
• MUST PASS: Pre-employment drug screen
