Shop Helper (2nd Shift)

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Shop Helper in USA Fontana, CA.

Responsibilities

• Cut material in preparation for fabrication or processing
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment
• Assist machine operators (press brake, punch press, and laser) with loading and unloading items from the machines
• Assist welders with structural welds by holding materials in place
• Transfer raw materials, finished products, tools, or equipment between work areas on the production floor using powered equipment (ex. Forklifts)
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Complete other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years’ experience in a related capacity
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
• Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
• Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, sander, etc.)
• Ability to operate powered equipment including a forklift

• Physical strength to lift up to 35 pounds at times
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform assigned tasks
• Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floor
