Responsibilities
- Directing daily production activities and assigning work
- Coinciding workflow between departments and processes
- Monitoring production goals, deadlines, and shop performance
- Supporting equipment and operational troubleshooting as needed
- Reinforcing safety procedures and quality standards
- Coaching employees and helping develop newer team members
- Maintaining communication with shop leadership throughout the shift
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments
- 3+ years in structural steel fabrication
- Prior experience in a beam, column, or heavy structural steel environment preferred
- Previous experience leading or coordinating crews on a production floor
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Able to read fabrication drawings and production instructions
- A hands-on leadership style with a team-first mentality
