Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory of HVAC equipment and ancillary materials.
- Ensure all items are properly labeled, stored, and tracked.
- Under the direction of the National Service Leader, stage equipment in the shop and yard for testing and repair.
- Participate in equipment testing and minor repairs as needed.
- Direct shop technicians to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor work quality and provide guidance to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Pull and prepare ancillary materials for outgoing jobs.
- Inspect and inventory equipment upon return from job sites, noting any damage or maintenance needs.
- Operate forklifts and Yard Dog vehicles to move equipment safely within the shop and yard.
- Assist with equipment installations and breakdowns at job sites as needed.
- Represent the company professionally while on-site.
- Use company shop trucks for job-related travel; no take-home vehicle is provided.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical, or rental equipment operations
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
- Proficient with forklifts and warehouse operation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, emergency-response environment
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)
- Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays when needed

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to solve problems and prioritize multiple tasks.
Environmental Requirements
- Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites on a daily basis.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
