Shop Equipment Operator - 2nd Shift
About the role
The Shop Equipment Operator - 2nd Shift position is part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where craftsmanship, precision, and pride in work are valued. This role operates a wide range of material processing equipment to shape and prepare various metals for industrial and commercial projects. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of shop metal working equipment including CNC Press Brakes, Manual Press Brakes, Hydraulic Shears, CNC Lasers, Plasma Tables, Band Saws, Python machines, Tiger Stops, Iron Workers, and Plate Rolls.
- Read, understand, and accurately execute work orders and quality assurance (QA) standards per job requirements.
- Facilitate setups and changeovers within machine capacities.
- Secure work pieces and operate stops and guides for proper alignment.
- Maintain proper alignment and monitor machine functions during operation to ensure accurate output within tolerance requirements.
- Perform quality checks during production to ensure parts/pieces meet tolerance requirements.
Requirements
- Must possess strong math skills including adding, subtracting, decimals and fractions.
- Possess working knowledge of basic blueprints and drawings.
- Must have previous relevant equipment operating experience.
- Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a strong understanding of safety standards and procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including second shift (Monday - Thursday 4PM - 2AM).
Skills
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in an industrial shop setting.
- Strong math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals, and fractions.
- Working knowledge of basic blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to operate a variety of shop metal working equipment.

Pay
Starting at USD $18.00/Hr., with potential for advancement to USD $25.00/Hr. and USD $2.00/Hr. for performance bonuses.
Schedule
Second shift hours (Monday - Thursday 4PM - 2AM).
