Shop Equipment Mechanic

About the role

M.E.S.O., Inc. is seeking a Shop Equipment Mechanic to support construction and industrial equipment customers across the Southeast. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across a variety of equipment
• Use independent judgment to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems
• Complete accurate service documentation as needed
• Order parts from vendors as required to complete repairs
• Provide safe, superior customer service on every job

Requirements

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment; aerial equipment experience a plus
• Strong mechanical background, including various engine types, hydraulic and electrical systems, and construction equipment
• Experience using diagnostic tools and an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Ownership of tools applicable to the position
• Strong teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills
• Commitment to safe, superior customer service as a top priority
• High school diploma and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical
• Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
