Essential Job Functions
- Operates and inspects cranes in order to diagnose defects
- Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS & MEGA-TRACK system
- Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
- Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
- Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
- May be required to weld as needed
- Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Absolutely capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
- Performs thorough and accurate annual inspections
- Maintains conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
- Properly fills out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews and expense reports
- Good customer service and communication skills
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Mechanic/Technician
- History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/ or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks; Manitex Boom Trucks and Cranes a strong plus
- Set a positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas clean & orderly plus promoting safety regulations and all other company programs
- Welding experience preferred
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Required to purchase full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches
- Manufacture approved training/certifications preferred
- Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as required

Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions
