Shop Assistant
About the role
Inrock Drilling Systems is a leading provider of tools and services for the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) industry. We serve contractors globally to assist them in installing infrastructure pipelines beneath various obstacles.
Essential Duties
- Receive, identify, store, distribute, inventory, pick, pack, and ship materials, supplies, components, and equipment.
- Affix appropriate warehouse documentation to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
- Move items to designated areas.
- Record quantities of materials or items moved.
- Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Maintain inventory records by posting materials received and disbursed.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Operate warehouse machinery safely and report any maintenance or problems to your supervisor.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all INROCK Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
- Possesses strong attention to detail and ensures accuracy of all work output.
- Ability to work efficiently in a timeline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Oil and gas experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
- Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds required.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold weather conditions as required.
- No air conditioning.
- Ability to work normal business hours/days as necessary.
