Shop Assistant

About the role

Inrock Drilling Systems is a leading provider of tools and services for the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) industry. We serve contractors globally to assist them in installing infrastructure pipelines beneath various obstacles.

Essential Duties

• Receive, identify, store, distribute, inventory, pick, pack, and ship materials, supplies, components, and equipment.
• Affix appropriate warehouse documentation to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Move items to designated areas.
• Record quantities of materials or items moved.
• Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Maintain inventory records by posting materials received and disbursed.
• Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Operate warehouse machinery safely and report any maintenance or problems to your supervisor.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all INROCK Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
• Possesses strong attention to detail and ensures accuracy of all work output.
• Ability to work efficiently in a timeline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Oil and gas experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds required.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
• Ability to work in both hot and cold weather conditions as required.
• No air conditioning.
• Ability to work normal business hours/days as necessary.
