Shop Assistant

About the role

Assist the internal sales team and service technicians on both in-shop and on vessel repairs when required.

Clean and organize the shop, follow directions of the Service Manager, and maintain a clean office area and exterior appearance.

Sweep and mop floors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep shop clean
• Keep company truck clean
• Stage parts for service technicians
• Help technicians empty trucks and tag parts
• Able to be on your feet 8-9 hours a day
• Able to go up/down stairs
• Able to be an independent thinker
• Drive forklift (not specified)
• Able to work with little/no supervision
• Have basic tools knowledge
• Able to fill out daily activity work sheet

Requirements

• Able to lift heavy objects
• Able to work independently
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have good communication skills

Qualifications
