Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, determining their needs, recommending products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas and lead product knowledge training for other associates.
  • Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience.
  • Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports.
  • Maintain organized backstock and ensure merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor.
  • Ensure accurate product presentation through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Communicate professionally with associates, Scheels Campus, and vendors/sales representatives.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Perform basic math operations, including currency, measurements, and percentages.
  • Work assigned schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and product knowledge meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing (with or without reasonable accommodation).
  • Heavy work requirements: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.

Pay

Starting salary of $45,000–$48,000 annually (a combination of hourly wage and sales commission).

Schedule

This position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, including attendance at product knowledge meetings.
