Shipyard Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee production work on customer equipment, ensuring that production workers are focused and productive at their assigned duties.
• All work meets appropriate quality requirements.
• Safety procedures and policies are followed.
• Hours and costs are recorded accurately.
• Work is planned with care so that customer schedule requirements are met.
• Accurate, timely, and sufficiently detailed information is communicated to management to support decision-making, including labor and resource allocation among current projects and estimates for future project bids.
• Cookordination work and resources with fellow supervisors and other production team leaders so that the production operation can operate efficiently and profitably.
• Interact effectively with the customer's representatives while meeting their schedule and daily requirements.
• Ensure that the correct materials are ordered and delivered on a timely basis.
• Provide other support as needed by the shipyard supervisor and other managers.
• Maintain a clean and safe shipyard, and foster a well-trained and motivated staff.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of five years’ production experience and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Required to have a valid driver’s license and TWIC.
• Required to learn safety rules and become familiar with proper usage of safety equipment.
• Required to comply with all Safety and Pollution Prevention Regulations and Procedures at all times under the direction of Stevens Towing Company, Inc.'s safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of five years’ production experience and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Required to have a valid driver’s license and TWIC.
• Required to learn safety rules and become familiar with proper usage of safety equipment.
• Required to comply with all Safety and Pollution Prevention Regulations and Procedures at all times under the direction of Stevens Towing Company, Inc.'s safety policies.

Skills

• Experience in drydocking tugs, barges, and other marine vessels.
• Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required and needed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe shipyard.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
