Shipping Working Foreman

About the role

You will work in a fast-paced environment preparing items for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general shipping activities and lead shipping staff
• Maintain the shipping department
• Load and unload trucks
• Physically move bread/bun stacks to the shipping dock using a two-wheel cart to stage product
• Break down stacks of product for depot locations with repetitive use of upper extremities
• Shuttle bread trays and materials to the staging area
• Unload semi-trailers and route incoming shipments
• Reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages
• Load cased bread/bun products onto pallets
• Operate an electric pallet jack to move or hoist materials from packaging to the shipping dock
• Operate a stretch wrap bander to palletize bread/bun products for shipment
• Perform computer functions to track various aspects of goods
• Work efficiently within a busy dispatch department
• Create shipping labels and handle shipping information
• Collaborate with the shipping team to complete orders in a timely manner
