Shipping VAS Supervisor

About the role

A successful Shipping/VAS Supervisor will be a disciplined self-starter who can naturally engage a team while working with tight deadlines. An enthusiastic and positive individual who creates and maintains a harmonious balance between people, policy, and process to run shifts like a well-oiled machine. They are comfortable having conversations ranging from coaching to constructive feedback, leading team meetings, acknowledging team wins, and motivating the team.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay

Starting salary: $70,304 - $85,652

13169 Slover Ave, Fontana, CA 92336

Responsibilities

• Ensures the training, cross-training, and development of team members
• Communicates, monitors, and drives goals and operational performance metrics while working within SLA
• Ensures all VAS requirements meet or exceed client and/or customer expectations and are within goals or service requirements
• Collaborates with the DC Manager to plan labor requirements based on forecast and client direction
• Communicates expectations and provides regular feedback on performance
• Follows NRI safety rules, safety procedures, security protocol, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times
• Performs other duties as requested

Requirements

• Excellent technical capabilities with proficiency in warehouse management system (WMS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties, follow through assignments with minimal direction, and be detail-oriented
• Experience in continuous improvement tools/methodologies to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency, and safety
• Experience leading personnel to ensure all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook
• Physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to:
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking and standing for extended periods
  • Climbing ladders/stairs
  • Working in elevated areas and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, and cold
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not required
